During a recent interview, Leonard Boars, Developer from Obsidian Games, explained the complexities of development and his impressions on The Outer Worlds for the Nintendo Switch port. Although Obsidian did not manage the work on Port Switch, its development was entrusted to the very reliable Virtues development team. The Obsidian team was very surprised by the work that Virtuous could accomplish on the hybrid console. The Outer Worlds officially released for Xbox One, PC, PS4 and will be next to Nintendo Switch.

We were not sure if it could be done, said Leonard Boars. But then they started getting out all these games on Nintendo Switch, and we said, Wow is great. And then we have seen the proof of concept from the external team that did it, and we were very, very surprised. Virtuous is known for carrying memorable experiences such as Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age, Dark Souls Remastered and the Black on the Nintendo Switch.It is likely that, thanks to the news of Leonard Boars, that the role-play developed by Obsidian, The Outer Worlds, another brilliant example of play that Virtuous has focused on the hybrid console. Due to the vast and immersive nature of the experience, Obsidian was not 100% sure that The Outer Worlds would work on the Nintendo Switch, but after seeing the proof of concept of virtuous, it had changed dramatically.
