Van der Linde Rast direction overall victory in the new DTM . The Audi pilot won on Saturday the seventh season race on the Nürburgring and continued to expand its leadership in the classification. Van der Linde prevailed before Luca Pride (Brachbach) and the Swiss Philip Ellis (both Mercedes).
The South African celebrated his third victory this year, for the third time he also brought the maximum yield of 28 points: On Saturday morning he had also retracted the three counter for the pole position. In the race, Van der Linde also benefited from weaker achievements of its first pursuers. Maximilian Götz (Uffenheim) missed in the Mercedes as the fifth podium, Liam Lawson (New Zealand) in Ferrari did not manage the points.
Van der Linde lies with now 129 meters clearly before Götz (84). On Sunday, the second race in the Eifel (13.30 pm / Sat.1) and the overall eighth of the year the season reaches the season. The leader drove into the points in so far and only missed the top four.
Van der Linde was considered by the beginning as a co-favorite. The 25-year-old had already won the title twice in the style-related ADAC GT Masters and therefore has experience benefits in particular to pilots, which have been driven under the old DTM regulations for years.
